Program 3-6 Years Old – Kindergarten

The place for childhood where the future grows

The kindergarden “Cor Jesu” is a place of play and experience where the culture of childhood and their rights are developed and promoted. In a harmonious relational context, the structure offers rich and balanced experiences through which the child explores, imitates, discovers, imagines, compares, constructs, using his entire body. The structure offers places for children from 3 to 5 years old, divided into two sections based on age and psychomotor development. The structure has a lot of light and is decorated with colorful flowers that hang from the large windows. In addition to the respective classrooms, there is also a playroom, a sleeping room, and a space for other activities.

Other activities include:

Theater: It is a space that allows children to get involved using all 5 senses. In the theater, experiences include the recognition of objects and materials, and children have the opportunity to imagine, invent, and manipulate.

Experiment, Discover, Build.

In our school, we provide children with the necessary tools to ensure a harmonious growth, which is supported by relational, affective, and cognitive processes that lead them to a positive development of their identity. In every educational situation, children need adult interlocutors with whom they can identify and peers with whom they can find solutions, as no one can grow alone, but through comparison and exchange with others.

At Cor Jesu, relationships with peers and adults are the object of learning through experimentation, mediation by teachers, situations of collaboration, sharing of objects and materials, and relationships with people. Our school, through its daily educational activities, aims to encourage the integral formation of the child in his or her individuality and uniqueness, so that their full potential can be developed.

Children, guided on the path of discovering their individual identity, are also led to know themselves in a group reality (a micro-society, made up of a maximum of 20 students) illustrated by two “heterogeneous” classes in which the school is organized. The two “heterogeneous” groups bring together children aged 3, 4, and 5. Thanks to the age difference, exchanges of help, expertise, and skills are created. Thus, heterogeneity becomes a source of learning. The didactic opening of the kindergarten is from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. (we are working to extend the schedule until 4:30 p.m.).

During the lesson hours, the teacher develops educational projects that intertwine with the first grade. In this way, the training offer becomes harmonious, coherent, and targeted. The school offers a training path and not just informative towards culture. For this reason, during the school year, visits to theaters, exhibitions, and interactive works are part of the educational project.
